HASKI POST 1
I have just spent the last week in Whistler shooting for the clothing company Haski with Dan Carr and Robin O’Neill. This is a new brand from China that will be launching this upcoming Fall 2012. They are owned by the same company that owns Jack Wolfskin. They came to Canada to shoot their launch campaign which includes their catalogue, brand video and TV commercial footage. Check out some of my behind the scenes photo shoot with my iPhone!
Enjoy.
I am currently in Burbank, California taking the Phantom Camera Technician course at Abel Cine. The Phantom camera is a digital cinema camera that can shoot very high frame rates to achieve super slow motion type shots. I figured it would be a good idea to become a Phantom Technician because I tend to do a lot of work in the action sports world. Attached are some iPhone pictures.

Had a shoot at Raymond Lum Studios yesterday for Cambridge House. It was a basic interview shoot for a 15 second TV spot. We decided to use a combination of the Canon 85mm f/1.2 and the awesome 17mm TS-E f/4. I love both of those lenses, the 85 is just badass and the tilt shift is just a lens that sparks creativity in my mind. Here are some usual behind the scenes photos.

So I have recently setup a way for my business to accept credit cards. There has been this App in the US called Square that has been doing this for a while now, but you could only use it in the US. A Vancouver company called Payfirma has now taken this concept and brought it to Canada. I am very excited to be able to use this new technology and provide a safe and convenient way to accept payments. Anyone out there with a small business should definitely check out this application.

I have recently been lucky enough to have my Red Scarlet camera ship to me. When the Scarlet was released on Nov. 3rd, 2011 I put down a deposit just because I thought it was a good idea to have a reservation, I didn’t know if I would actually buy one. Once I was able to figure out a good way to use the camera, I decided that when my camera was allocated to me that I would go through with the purchase. These are some behind the scenes shot with my iPhone while doing some test shoots with the Scarlet.
